Project Details
In this project commissioned in 2025 in Sudan in compliance with marine sector standards, we designed and manufactured a 3x400V 50Hz 800kVA Static Voltage Regulator (SVR) — a high-level power electronics solution designed to maintain grid quality for port facilities and ship power systems.
Sudden voltage fluctuations during ship generator transitions and in port grids pose a serious risk to sensitive radar, navigation and automation systems onboard. Thanks to Fast Thyristor Blocks containing no mechanical parts and an advanced DSP (Digital Signal Processor) Control Infrastructure, the system responds to voltage changes within milliseconds and fully stabilizes the output voltage.
The greatest advantage of this project is its design using a compact Buck-Boost transformer architecture instead of heavy and space-consuming main isolation transformers. Thanks to this flexible transformer-free structure, 800kVA of power is fitted into a compact enclosure of 700×700×2000mm, fully compatible with shipboard electrical rooms where space saving is of vital importance. An advanced LCD user interface and dry contact alarm infrastructure enabling remote monitoring deliver uninterrupted and safe operating performance.
